Here’s Caroline Kennedy’s speech.

Here’s Oprah’s speech.

Here is Stevie Wonder’s speech.

Here’s Maria Shriver’s endorsement speech. I love watching the audience reaction to the surprise. :)

Here’s the full event. Michelle Obama and Stevie Wonder come in around 25:00. If the audio/video synchronization is annoying, you can also watch it via CSPAN.

That stuff never plays right on my computer. I am sick if Stevie was there and I did not make the effort to get there. I am crying.

This video not running well on my computer either, but lucky for me I caught it live on CSPAN and was very moved. Based on the excitement I felt and saw, CA is looking good for Obama. I loved Shriver’s line that if Obama was a state it would be California.

I was there and I was very moved. It was amazing to see men and women, children, infants, old and young, Black, White, Latino, Asian standing together daring to hope for change.

Again, I believe a vote for Barack Obama would be like a breath of fresh air – as compared to aiding & abetting the Clintons in their de facto end-run around the 22nd Amendment – Bill Clinton running for a third term as president. Since when does a leopard change its spots? Women such as Hillary are also nothing new to high office. There have been Queens around, as long as there have been Kings. We will have a woman president someday, but I think we’ll know her when we see her. She’ll have that certain something. But whatever that something is, we’re certainly seeing it in Obama. We can turn the page; yes, we can: http://theseedsof9-11.com

I agree. I don’t think Barack cannot possibly be an worse than Bush. So what if he is a newbie. So was Bush. We need Obama, we need something new, fresh, and ground breaking. The world needs to believe in us again, we must push for change!

yes. i had friends and family members calling me about michelle’s speech. they had never heard her speak before. they said she was actually the best of the whole group which is saying a lot because the others were excellent as well.

    Hi sagereader,

How happy I am to see you have a new Top Post. :-)

With each speaker at this rally, it just got better and better. It really was a great moment for the campaign and for women. I hope the local news in CA cover it today.

i was sleepless and just happened to catch michelle Obama’s speech and was immensely moved. She makes the case for Barack better than he can make it himself, in a way only a wife can. The speech rings with such honesty and truth that she seems to leave the arena of political rhetoric and enter another arena altogether, one in which we as citizens are moved and challenged simultaneously.

  11. sagereader Says:

hey terry, i was happy about that too when i logged on this morning. :) oprah, michelle, caroline, and maria trounce the negative email peddlers today!

This was an historic rally – I have never seen anything like it in my life. Finally – inspired, intelligent, and authentic discourse! These wonderful women were speaking from there hearts and minds – in the most moving way. May God bless and protect the Obama’s and bring them into the White House. May we learn to transcend our differences and come together for our own and future generations benefit.

  13. Girl Singer Says:

Make no mistake about it; Born Again Christians, who are white grandmothers WILL vote for Obama — I know, because I am one. I can’t wait until tomorrow when I will proudly cast my vote in the Tennessee primary for the next President of the United States, Barack Obama!

  14. BisonQueen Says:

Thank you so much for posting this historic moment for those of us that weren’t able to catch it yesterday…SI SE PUEDE! SI SE PUEDE!

Blacks Learning ‘Goldwater Girl’ Hillary Was AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1964….Feel Deceived !

An article by Washington columnist Robert Novak (Google: ‘Hillary, King, Goldwater) reveals that Hillary Clinton was a staunch supporter of Sen. Barry Goldwater (who was adamently against the civil rights act and a segregationist) during the same period she claims in all black church appearances that she was for the civil rights movement. Blacks feel that it was impossible for Hillary to have been a Goldwater Girl and pro civil rights at the same time which leads to the assumption that Ms. Clinton is re-inventing her past. Many blacks feel deceived by The Clintons. Should Hillary Clinton make a public apology to blacks for lying in black churches ?

This rally was so amazing. I heard comments in the news media about it and finally I was able to watch it. It’s 1:35am and I can’t stop watching even knowing that I have to be up at 6:30 AM. Now I know that I can follow my truth by Maria, follow my heart not my gender or convictions by Oprah and the best of all, now I know that Folks like me can have dreams for their kids like Michelle’s parents did for her. Now I believe and now at this moment I know that Barack is the one we have been waiting for.

Wow. This was the first time that I have been really able to sit down and listen to Michelle talk. Wow amazing. Tears in my eyes because I can feel the truth in her words. I am ready for improved health care, for better opportunities for my children’s education, for this nation to come together, for people to start really talking to each other like people and not like outsiders. We all want what is best for our families. We all want to live not struggle and with OBAMA that will happen. Many Americans are ready for change. Ready for a new start, ready for someone like us, someone that that knows what real American life is all about. I am ready for a CHANGE, GROWTH and FREEDOM. I KNOW that with OBAMA this can happen. VOTE OBAMA.

  23. BmoreBabe Says:

I had the great fortune of catching the last 30-40 minutes of the speech. I was cheering and clapping and crying and praying – like I was in church…because it felt like I was in church. Mrs. Obama was giving the word…and it was so genuine… it sounded good and it felt good…I could tell by the people in attendance. I am still talking about it to my friends and co-worker. Unforfunately, the majority of them did not see it. I am still trying to pull it up on C-Span to see it in it’s entirety. I was so moved that I have decided that “I” must step up to the plate and do SOMETHING, we ALL must do something. Get ready people…as Mrs. Obama said, “To much that is given – much is expected.
