This is a fantastic, inspiring speech summing up everything Obama’s been talking about this campaign. And amazing delivery — he had the crowd in the palm of his hand! I linked to this speech on CNN Political Ticker under the “Mondale Praises Hillary for Running a Positive Campaign” story. It seemed an appropriate place to link because Mondale (the party hack who no one liked but everyone owed) ran against Ronald Reagan. Guess that didn’t work out so well for the dems. Think they’ll learn?

It was indeed an excellent speech. I started tearing up a little bit when he got toward the end. It’s on par with his 2004 speech and the Call To Renewal speech in 2006.

I went canvassing in Iowa this weekend. Had fun. Only got one Supporter card, but others in my group did really well in terms of Supporter Cards.

Just watched lengthy Obama interview with Howard Fineman over at Newsweek site. They were fishing for attacks on Clinton but got alot of well thought responses.

Check out NYT editorial today
“Congress should also pass the Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act, sponsored by Senator Barack Obama, which would criminalize misleading and intimidating actions used to prevent voters, particularly minority voters, from casting ballots.”

What a fabulous speech! His ability to inspire and energize and invigorate people is his greatest strenght - as I discussed on my blog a few days ago. This is exactly the kind of inspiring oratory that I said was missing from the press attention given to Obama and that I hoped he would get a chance to show in the latest debate. Great job sharing this video!

this Sunday is the Jefferson Jackson dinner in Iowa. I am hoping Obama gives this or at least a variant of this speech.
It is powerful and inspiring. and it needs to be seen.
