This is a beautifully crafted inspirational rendering. Not only does it appeal to one’s sense of justice and celebrates the courage which is directly linked to, and indeed has facilitated, the opportunity he is now pursuing, it projects the plain old common sense which good judgement produces.

Obama continues to display the very good judgement which he did in October 2002 and after.

I attended Convocation and was deeply moved by this prolific speaker. His words of enlightment didn’t fall on deep ears, and we accept his charge of being the new movement towards civil rights and equality for all.

He knows how to give a speech when he wants to, and though I believe he’s late getting there, it’s way past time for him to be giving a speech like this.

This is a speech that one expects from The Black Candidate.

As I’ve said elsewhere..

I can accept that he has has to be The Candidate Who Happens to Black, 90 % of the time.

But, there are times where he has to be The Black Candidate.

This is one of those times.
